Biography

After studying textile design at Leeds university i moved to Hong Kong and started a fantastic role at Next Sourcing designing embroideries and embellishments in the womenswear dept. It was there that I got my first taste of international travel and found my love of embroidery  / textile design whilst visiting beading factories in India and print mills in China.
I loved my time in HK, the buzz, the culture and the chance to travel and explore Asia.
A defining experience for me was Co founding Hong Kong fashion brand FiFi. From concept to finished garment i worked on the design, styling, graphics and everything in between for the brand. This led to a fantastic opportunity designing garments for Manchester Brand Elvis Jesus designing their first womenswear collection.
After working for TESCO & LIDL in their Hong Kong sourcing offices managing their home dept product development teams i left Hong Kong after 15yrs.
During my time as a product development manager I learnt to apply a commercial approach to design and product development by using my extensive global factory experience to work with my team to achieve the highest standard ranges for the best possible price.
In 2018 I made the move to London and worked at M&S designing their 2019 Christmas decoration range, something I am very proud of.
In 2019 I started work at NEXT and designed their 2020 Christmas decoration range then moving onto the Kitchen dept and spending a year designing their Kitchen hardgoods & textiles ranges.
My love of design and product coupled with my hands-on factory experience in Hong Kong, China & India have enabled me to stretch my design capability and use my design skills to design an exciting variety of products over the years.
